7 Benefits of Drinking Water First Thing in the Morning

Drinking water in the morning on empty stomach purifies body internal system, cleans colon and help body absorb nutrients from food. It helps to flush and balance lymphatic system which leads to increased immunity.

1. Re-hydrates dehydrated body:

  • Drinking water after waking up body helps in production of blood and muscle cells. It gives us natural energy throughout the morning. 
  • We need at least 6 to 8 glass drinking water daily. Herbal tea and fresh juices do count because of their high water content, and fresh fruits and vegetables in the diet do add to our water intake. Our body has about 70% water, brain has muscle are about 75% water and blood has 85% water content. Except for bone and fat tissue and most of our body has water

Drinking good amount of water could lower risks of  heart attack. A six-year study published in the May 1, 2002 American Journal of Epidemiology found that those who drink more than 5 glasses of water a day were 41% less from  heart attack during the study period than those who drank less than two glasses.

Even mild dehydration as little 1or 2 percent of body weight can sap energy and make us feel tired, If we are thirsty,we are already dehydrated and this can lead to fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness and other symptoms.

Our digestive systems need a good amount of water to digest food properly. Often water can help to cure stomach acid problems and water along with fiber can cure constipation (often a result of dehydration).
